For 27 years, Corey built a successful career in computer programming, developing technology solutions for clients in the finance and accounting industries. In 2023, he made the decision to leave that career behind and follow a lifelong passion: teaching. Since then, Corey has been dedicated to helping high school students grow into confident, capable, and successful adults, both in the classroom and beyond it.
Corey is currently completing a Master of Arts in Teaching, bringing a strong academic foundation to a classroom already shaped by nearly three decades of real-world business experience. That background — solving complex problems, communicating across teams, and delivering results under pressure — now informs how Corey teaches business classes with an emphasis on practical skills, critical thinking, and preparing students for life after graduation.
Having spent a career translating technical concepts for finance and accounting clients, Corey brings the same clarity and patience to the classroom, helping students break down difficult ideas into concepts they can understand and apply. Whether guiding a student through a challenging assignment or offering perspective on navigating the professional world, Corey draws on both classroom training and real business experience to help every student reach their full potential.
Corey Embry currently teaches Personal Finance, Introduction to Business, Game Design, Computer Applications, & Web Design at the High School.
