Shelly Handke
English Learners Teacher
Platte County High School
Hello! My name is Shelly Handke, and I’m excited to serve as an English Language teacher at Platte County High School for the 2025-2026 school year. I bring 24 years of teaching experience, working with both elementary and secondary students to support their language development and academic success. For 16 of those years, I worked as a library media specialist, helping students connect with meaningful resources and build strong literacy skills. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive environment where every student can grow in confidence and communication. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance.
