David Diener
Math Teacher
Platte County High School
Hi I am David Diener and have been in education sense the fall of 2011. I started teaching and coaching in the Gardner Edgerton School District where I taught one year of middle school math and physical education, and six years of health, physical education and weight lifting. I also coached football, wrestling, and baseball for those seven years. In the fall of 2018 I went to Winnetonka High School in the North Kansas City School district where I taught Algebra 1 for three years. I also coached football and baseball during that time at Winnetonka. Fall of 2021 I then took a job at Holden High School, where I was a weights teacher, head football coach, assistant wrestling coach, and head track and field coach. I am now excited to be at Platte County high school as a math teacher starting this 2026 school year. I will also be a football coach for the pirates.
I graduated from William Jewell College in May of 2011, with a secondary teaching degree, a minor in Mathematics, and is certified to teach 6-12 Math, K-12 Health and K-12 Physical Education. In the Spring of 2018 I also received my Master’s in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine, in 2022 I finished my Specialist in Administration from Arkansas State University.
I am married to my wife Rachel who works as a social worker for Fort Leavenworth. I also have a daughter named Troian who will be in 3rd grade next year. In my free time I enjoy fishing, golfing, and reading.
