EXECUTIVE WOMEN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

DETAILS:  The EWISP scholarship is an annual competition based program which awards more than $200,000 in college scholarship money each year to qualifying high school seniors. Judges select winning students based on their scholastic achievement, leadership qualities, good citizenship and extracurricular activities.

Elizabeth Spelman Health Career Scholarship

DETAILS: The Elizabeth Spelman Health Career Scholarship program was established in 1968 by the late
Dr. Arch E. Spelman in memory of his mother and is underwritten by the auxiliary and medical staff of Saint Luke’s North Hospital.  Dr. Spelman was instrumental in the development of the hospital in Smithville, formerly known as Spelman Memorial Hospital, now known as Saint Luke’s North Hospital—Smithville Campus.  Twelve scholarships are awarded in the amount of $2,000 each to be applied toward tuition, fees and/or books.

Craft Scholarships

DETAILS: Craft scholarships will be awarded to individuals who wish to pursue an associates degree in Electric Power and Distribution and Wind/Renewable Energy. Must be a graduating senior in a Kansas or Missouri high school, or currently enrolled in a two-year technical/craft program at a local community college or trade school.

DETAILS:  Liberty Hospital Foundation will provide nursing scholarships to high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher wishing to study nursing full time in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. The scholarship for a student wishing to earn the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing will be a one-time, non-renewable award determined each year by the Liberty Hospital Foundation.

The Masonic Scholarship Fund of Missouri, Inc. proudly offers three different scholarships to Missouri high school students. Masonic Merit Scholarship is a $1,000/year scholarship available to students in any degree program. Ruth Lutes Bachmann Scholarship is a $1,000/year scholarship for students seeking a degree in the education or healthcare fields. Assistance League of Kansas City

DETAILS: To be eligible, students must have a 3.0 GPA minimum, an 85% attendance record, demonstrate financial need, plan to attend a post-secondary institution (university, college, or technical institute), and submit an application with all the required documentation. We are a not-for-profit organization that has served the unmet needs of children and adults in the Kansas City area for the past 35 years. Last year, our 368 volunteers gave over 56,000 hours of service to operate and fund ten philanthropic programs. We receive no federal or state government funds and have no paid staff. PTSA SCHOLARSHIP

DETAILS: The Platte County High School PSTA offers high school senior scholarships to students in recognition of their academic achievements, volunteer service and positive impact on the high school and surrounding community. In order to be eligible, graduating seniors applying for this scholarship must be a member of PCHS PTSA in good standing and have a minimum 2.75 unweighted high school GPA. The recipient will be chosen based on academics, extracurricular activities, and community service involvement. Recipients must plan to attend either an in-state or out-of-state certificate program, trade school, two-year or four-year college/university program immediately following graduation. DETAILS: Through the years, Pirates Cheerleading Club (PCC) and the Platte County High School Cheer Squad have worked together on several occasions. DETAILS: Damon’s Rally Cap Charity believes that individuals and families affected by cancer should never have to fight alone. We understand the devastation that surrounds a cancer diagnosis, and we want to help those battling this disease rally with hope. AMERICAN LEGION SCHOLARSHIPS

DETAILS:  The student must be a resident of Missouri. Applicants must be under the age of 21, unmarried and a descendant* of a veteran with at least ninety days active service in the U. S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. A photocopy of the veteran's DD 214, discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application.  Click here for more information

Lillie Lois Ford Scholarship Fund - April 20 Two awards of $1000 each are given each year. One to a boy who has attended a full session of The American Legion Boys State of Missouri or a full session of the Department's Cadet Patrol Academy. The second award is given to a girl who has attended a full session of The American Legion Auxiliary's Girls State program or a full session of the Department's Cadet Patrol Academy.

M.D. "Jack" Murphy Memorial Nurses Training FundApril 20 Currently one $750 award is given for two successive semesters, and may, by application, be extended for two additional successive semesters. This award is available to a Missouri boy or girl training to be a Registered Nurse, and may be used in their freshman or subsequent college years. The student must have graduated in the top forty percent of their high school class or have a "C" or equivalent standing from their last college or university semester. Scholarships are awarded for one year, payable $375 per semester.

Joseph J. Frank ScholarshipApril 20 Five awards of $500.00 are given annually to individuals who are descendants of a veteran. Applicant must have attended a full session of The American Legion Boys State or The American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program, be a current resident of the state of Missouri and must use the scholarship as a full time student in an accredited college or university.

Charles L. Bacon Memorial Scholarship -    April 20  Two awards of $500 are given annually in memory of the first Missourian to serve as National Commander of The American Legion. Eligible are individuals who are currently members of The American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary, or the Sons of The American Legion, or a descendant* of a member of any thereof. Applicants must use the scholarship as a full-time student in an accredited college or university.

Erman W. Taylor Memorial Scholarship -  April 20  Two $500 awards are given annually to a student planning on obtaining a degree in education, in honor of this Past National Executive Committeeman from Missouri. To be eligible the student must: be a Missouri resident,  use the award as a full-time student at an accredited college or university, and submit an essay of 500 words or less on the subject In your opinion, what was the most significant world event of 2015/2016?

Shane Dean Voyles Memorial Scholarship -  April 20**  One $500 award will be awarded, annually. Each school in the State of Missouri may nominate one student to be considered for the award. The nominee will be selected on athletic, scholastic and leadership abilities. The nominee should be deeply involved in community and school activities, and must use the award as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.  **Inform the PCHS counseling office and turn in application by March 12 if you are interested in this scholarship.
