Once a Pirate, always a Pirate! I’m proud to be a 2012 graduate of Platte County High School and I am thrilled to now serve as part of its teaching staff. After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri in 2016, I began my teaching career in Moberly, where I taught for three years. I then spent two years in the Blue Valley School District before returning to my alma mater. In December 2022, I completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Administrative Leadership. I’m passionate about education, building strong relationships with students, and giving back to the community that helped shape me.
Together, with a team of amazing and creative teachers, I am committed to preparing my students for success in life by providing meaningful experiences in a safe and caring environment. I have a passion for helping all of my students reach their potential, understanding that each student has their own needs and pacing. Ultimately, each learner's personal best looks different, and that's okay! We're going to learn from taking risks, making mistakes, and understanding that learning is a process that we're going to do together! I love wearing my black and orange again because it's always a great day to be a Pirate!
