Victoria Tessmer
English Language Arts Teacher
Platte County High School
Once a Pirate, always a Pirate! My name is Victoria Tessmer and I joined the Platte County family again in Fall 2021 after graduating from Platte County High School in 2012 and from the University of Missouri in 2016. I started my Masters Degree with Emporia State University in Curriculum and Instruction Summer 2021. After starting my teaching career in 2016, spending time in both rural Missouri and suburban Kansas, I am very excited to be back home as an English Language Arts teacher. I love wearing my black and orange again!
Together, with a team of amazing and creative teachers, I am committed to preparing my students for success in life by providing meaningful experiences in a safe, inclusive, and caring environment. I have a passion for helping all of my students reach their potential, understanding that each student has their own needs and pacing. Ultimately, each learner's personal best looks different, and that's okay! We're going to learn from taking risks, making mistakes, and understanding that learning a process that we're going to do together!
