I HAVE A DREAM SCHOLARSHIP (for grades 9-12)

AMOUNT: $1,500
DETAILS: Applicants must be (14) years of age or older at the time of application; be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia;  Submit an online short written response (250 words or less) for the question: “We want to know…what do you dream about? Whether it’s some bizarre dream you had last week, or your hopes for the future, share your dreams with us for a chance to win $1,500 for college.”  Click here for more information.

ESA FOUNDATION

DETAILS: The ESA Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of continuing education and to altruistic activities that make a positive difference in the world community. Voluntary contributions of time and money from ESA members, ESA Foundation members, and friends of the Foundation are the ESA Foundation’s sole sources of support. As a nonprofit, tax exempt corporation, the ESA Foundation supports the service and leadership programs and the philanthropic projects of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International.   Click here for more information

JACKIE ROBINSON SCHOLARSHIP

DETAILS: Through its Mentoring and Leadership Development Program, the Jackie Robinson Foundation provides scholarships of up to $30,000/four years to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice.  Click here for more information.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MILITARY CHILDREN

DETAILS: Various scholarships available, amounts vary. Applications available online in mid-December. Program is open to sons and daughters of active duty, reserve/guard, or retired military commissary customers. Recipient must be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a four-year undergraduate college or university, accredited in the U.S. or a two-year community college. They must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 basis.

DETAILS: This isn’t your typical scholarship program. It doesn’t require an essay or an application, and it doesn’t have a minimum GPA or SAT score requirement. The College Board Opportunity Scholarships are different.
