Hello! Thanks for stopping by! Here's a little bit about me...
I have been teaching since 2005, relocating to Platte County in 2020. I received my bachelor's degree from University of Nebraska - Omaha (Mavericks, not Cornhuskers!), my teaching credentials from University of Missouri - St. Louis, and my Masters in Educational Administration as well as my Educational Specialist from William Woods University. I have also completed some additional graduate coursework at Liberty University.
I have lived in Missouri, Iowa, Texas, Virginia, Nebraska, and Germany, but I was born in St. Joseph and have always called this side of the state home. Prior to moving back to the area, I lived in mid-MO, where I was a teacher and administrator. In 2015, I returned to the classroom to do exactly what I came into education to do... teach students!
Prior to entering the education field, I gained a vast array of workforce knowledge, including serving in the United States Army. I truly believe that every position led me to where I am today...to make a difference by connecting and planting seeds in the lives of students -- regardless of their past, present, or perceived future.
When I'm not busy planning for class or coaching Speech and Debate, I am involved at my church and always trying to find ways to travel or spend time with my daughters, grandchildren, family, and friends. I also love live theatre (on and off the stage).
