I have proudly been part of the PCR-3 family since 2015 and have been teaching at PCHS since graduating from WGU in 2022. Working with individuals with disabilities has never simply been a career for me — it has truly been my life’s passion and purpose. Over the years, I have dedicated myself not only to teaching, but also to advocating for opportunities that help students grow in confidence, independence, and community involvement.
I am honored to have founded and coached the PCR-3 Special Olympics team, creating opportunities for our athletes to shine both on and off the field. I also had the privilege of helping create Apartment 20, which had grown into our Voyage program, focused on teaching independent life skills and preparing students for success beyond the classroom. Watching students discover their strengths and achieve goals they never thought possible is the most rewarding part of what I do.
My passion for inclusion extends far beyond the classroom and into my own home. I am married to an amazing man, Manuel, and together we have seven children and four beautiful grandchildren. Autism is a meaningful part of our family’s journey, as one of our children and one of our grandchildren are autistic. These experiences have deeply shaped my heart, strengthened my advocacy, and continue to inspire the work I do every day. My family is highly involved with my school family, and together we strive to model acceptance, inclusion, compassion, and the belief that every individual deserves to feel valued and celebrated.
