My purpose is to empower individuals, families, and communities.
A question that is often asked is, “What is FCS?”  My response is that family consumer sciences is the comprehensive body of skills, research, and knowledge that helps people make informed decisions about their well-being, relationships, and resources to achieve optimal quality of life.  The field represents many areas, including human development, personal and family finance, housing and interior design, food science, nutrition and wellness, textiles and apparel, and consumer issues.

Schedule

The Family and Consumer Science Department at PCR-3 has the opportunity to offer the following courses: Career Development and Entrepreneurship, Child Development I & II, Foods and Nutrition I, Hospitality and Tourism Management I & II, Human Development, International Foods, Interior Design, and ProStart 1 & 2.
